Opinions on the 'other' Hellraiser films?

Everyone knows about Hellraiser 1-4, I've seen them and they are mostly OK (First 2 are decent, things started getting silly in the other 2), but I've noticed there are several more Hellraiser films:
Hellraiser: Inferno
Hellraiser: Hellseeker
Hellraiser: Deader - which just got released on DVD today (According to DVDpacific).

I've never seen any of these films, I have a strong suspicion they are utter crap, but I'm curious anyway.

So, anyone seen them and care to share their opinions?

They're all fairly enjoyable if you're a big Hellraiser fan, but really, the series really went downhill after Hellraiser II: Hellbound. The first two Hellraisers were classics, but all the ones after that are fairly mediocre.

"Fairly mediocre" is a very polite way of putting it...

Part 1 and 2 are in my personal hall-of-fame of horror movies, specially part 2 (which I even prefer over 1) is one of the damn best movies the genre has to offer IMO... that is, if you watch it with a bit of background info, and an open flesh wound, erm, mind.

Anyway, the other parts are shite IMO, they completely lack the dark and cruel tone of the first two. In the sequels, the Cenobites feel like court jesters and have some jack-in-the-box appearances whenever the story gets too thin - in short, anything after 2 is garbage that should be avoided like the plague.... there are Disney cartoons which are more scary than them.

100% agree all the newer ones were complete garbage IMO. You laugh at how bad they were. They feel like made for tv movies on Saturday night sci-fi

Well, I did get some enjoyment out of Bloodline, as random as the plot was, and I just love the characters enough to forgive details like the lack of a plot, decent dialogue, etc. Anyway, I also thought part 2 was the best of the series - pretty intense stuff.

I liked 1-4, 5 [Inferno] was not a bad movie, felt like an episode of Friday the 13th the series. Worth renting. Have not seen Hellseeker or ?Deader? I will hunt them both down now though, as I'm curious. I would LOVE to know who really directed Bloodlines. ???

I really liked inferno and hellseeker. I saw deader but it was a little disappointing because pinhead himself is barely even in the movie but aside from that it was pretty good. I've always been a hellraiser fan.

It was Kevin Yagher, but it's credited to Alan Smithee.

Confusion often sets in with Alan Smithee films, simply because he doesn't exist.

Anyway...

Hellraiser: Inferno -- Too much like Max Payne (I can't be the only person who felt this...) and not enough like Hellraiser.

I can appreciate the desire to do something different with the series, but without going into lengthy detail because I'm lazy, the whole premise just didn't work for me.

Hellraiser: Hellseeker -- Generic, boring and incomprehensible at times.

After thirty minutes in I started paying more attention to the hangnail on my thumb than I did with the movie being played on my TV screen.

Hellraiser: Deader -- Haven't seen it, and don't plan to anytime soon.

Some of the reviews I've read about it claim that it's "Stronger" then the last few releases, but I can't imagine that being a positive thing, considering how awful I consider the past new Hellraiser installments to be.
