ROTD - looks legit
SSV - the board does say snk/playmore... is is SSV or SSVS? I'm saying about 80% chance legit.

The ROTD Looks Legit though I really can't see the numbers on the chips..Looks like my board layout.
I doesn't match with any of the boots here either...(IMO it's real as I could open mine again to check ..I'd only say possible boot if you discovered shoddy chip soldering..

Did it come in a Green Case with real label?

I just bought/won a SAMURAI SHODOWN V so I don't have the cart in hand to check..
So if no-one gets you some board picks I will take them for you when I get the cart..(if you need them)

As I remember I think some SVC Chaos Carts had this lil chip and I think it was legit.....I don't own this in cart form(yet) to check,I own the PCB..

How'd this cart come..Black Cart with light blue letters label?

Do they work..?

(I don't know if any SAMURAI SHODOWN V searches will turn anything up.I have to check..)

ROTD Cart = Solid Black case, label looks legit, white paper with black lettering

SSV = Solid Black case, black lettering on standard MVS label

Here is the label, I've never seen a JAP Samurai Shodown V before...

And here is a weird sticker that's on the SSV:

Could this be a Beta/LOKE version of SSV?

Andy:
I've been thinking about this, then realizing the SSV cart I bought is Black,Cased,Black Lettered but in English.
I won't have it for at least two weeks so until then,if no-one posts board picks I'll post them when I get the cart.
So you can compare them.

The small board on your SSV looks like from what I remember also being on the first run of SVC Chaos Japhie had shown way back..(with the whole fiasco of the SVC Cart being in existence etc)
And I'm not sure if SVC Chaos has this little board in them now plus SSV.(?)

Test Cart huh...........That has me stumped, and thinking about it.
This could be some first run cart by...(?)
Maybe that info can be determined a bit from who it was obtained..

With this kind of info I figure Kenny might have some ideas..

My SSV cart (original English kit) has that little board on it, but no EPROMs.
