what is consolized MVS slot?

can someone explain this to me..and can they work in a real arcade cabinet?cause someone trying to sell me one..and i want to plug it in my cabinet...thanks

It's a MVS mobo setup with audio and video outputs that plug into a NTSC/PAL TV, so it's basically a self-contained video game system.

I think a consolized MVS slot will work fine as long as the port where you'd connect the mobo to your RGB monitor is fully reachable.

You're better off finding a non-consolized MVS mobo, though, as they're considerably cheaper.

If the consolization was done right, they are still usable in a cabinet, but it's impossible to say for sure since all consolizers have a different process. If you could post some pics, we could tell you for sure.

But like Ely said, there's really no point in getting a consolized unit if you're just going to plug it into your cab. A lot of work goes into a nice consolized board, and you're most likely going to be charged a pretty penny for that work. If you're just going to plug it into a cab, just buy yourself a regular MVS board.
