eh, i know i'm the minority, but I double hate epic games that take forever
to play, beat, whatever. I lose interest very rapidly nowadays.

That game just seems like a total-shoo-in for Game Of The Year.
I can't think of anything else that measured up at E3 or anything else coming out this year. I just hope that 70-hour figure isn't overinflated because of lots of sidequests or monotonous collecting. Give me lots of combat and some really bad-ass dungeons.

That's one thing that puzzles me a bit, we've seen barely anything about the actual dungeons in the game, all the hoopla has largely centered around all the horseback shit.

Probably will be game of the year, certainly prospectivly...the quality seems there.

That will be a quality game, it seems, but in that, for people that buy games monthly...weekly...will be just another adventure.

In that; could well be best they get in a few years.

That's what Nintendo provides.,..though i'm sure there's nothing wrong with God of War, Riddick etc in the mean time.

70 Hours of Zelda?

I'll believe it when I see it.

Don't get me wrong, I mean I wish it were true, well you know of real actual gameplay.

This is from Nintendo Power, which means take it with a grain of salt. These people gave stuff like Pokemon Snap a 9/10 so their "70 Hours" might mean the equivalent of doing all the fishing in WW to get every last rediculous item that meant absolutely nothing to the game.

All that aside, I hope it's as long (dungeon wise) as Ocarina of Time, which is the best in the series, IMO.

WW was fun as hell, but it was rediculously too short. And I hated the style.

Funny you should talk about the new Zelda kern, you yelled at me for hours on end when WW came out about how a realistic Zelda with "392374134189 polygons" would be boring.

Have you done a 180 on me? ;)

I'll have to see, even ocarina went pretty fast and it was much longer.
They need to stop clocking gameplay, it can never EVER be completely accurate. Super plays are a good example of this.
Cinema should not count as gameplay.

I'd say we can tackle this in about 24 hours, this is probably based on the 'trial and error' estimate.

I'm gonna love this title, so its not important, just stupid to boast that, when its clearly bullshit. If theres one game that should, its dragon warrior VII, that game was endless.

I doubt I will finish it if it is that long. I am good for about 8 hours. RE 4 was the exception, I put 22 into that game.

Of course in the NES/SNES days I use to play a lot more.

I am going to get Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in November 2005 which should be out before my 28th Birthday which I'll pick it up on release & I hope it is 70 hours of gameplay. I enjoyed Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker & I thought it was a very fun! & cute game. :D

You know that rich blonde haired girl who became poor trying to steal the Rupee's back because her father had used all of his Rupee's to get his daughter back who was kidnapped. You have to follow her & sneak up on her to catch her which if you say that you are going to tell & that you will turn her in & she will give you an empty bottle in return by letting her go & that she will never steal again. You never see her in the game again & you only see her at night. :)

Rupee's do exist in some country but I forgot where???. :kekeke:

Make sure you get all the shards. I got most before I beat it and got to lazy to collect the rest so I just sharked that part. The final recruit is hilarious, you will love it.

Majora was a really solid game, I am still kinda amazed it gets bullshit, it was bad ass, so was the last boss, very original and it had the darkest feel of a zelda title next to LTTP. Its the oddest zelda title.

The only recent zelda I didnt like was freaking Wind waker, I hated redirecting that god damn wind ad nauseum, then if that doesnt suck, the game ends cutting your later dungeon expectancy in half.

The whole game pissed me off more when I got into hyrule castle, (easily the best part of the game) only to find out the damn game ends just a bit after the second time you enter it.

WW is a very good game though, just to damn short IMO.

This game would own if they had 8 dungeons after the first three to get the master sword. 6 is more then enough, but overkilling dungeons in zelda is a must considering how rarely we see a zelda, and its not a question of whether this game will be good, it always will.

I could see it being 70 hours long, but that will most likely include every possible sidequest and all that stuff.

So that's where Nintendo got the idea to make the money in the Zelda games called Rupee's. :tickled:

Heh... I hear you. I loved the Minnish Cap, but I could live without getting all the damn figurines.

For some reason I didn't think you were a fan of the 3-D Zelda games.

Nope you don't :)

You need them if you want to get all piece of hearts.
I know it takes on our nerves getting all the figurines and finding seashells for that matter... :blow_top:

Eh. These 80-hour, 90-hour gameplay markers that companies put out is like MapQuest telling me it'll take a full hour to go 20 miles. I'm not going to go the speed limit, just like I'm not going to backtrack across five maps just to get the last Skulltula to complete my collection, so it doesn't apply. The SNES Zelda had the perfect time-to-completion for me: first time through, it takes a few days of relaxed play. After you've mastered it, though, you can get 100% in an afternoon -- and it' still fun!

Mindless trivia: The only game that really did last the time the press release said it would was Final Fantasy VII. Damn Chocobo raising....
