Sound cutting in and out on a pcb

well, the sound is cutting in and out on a rim rockin basketball pcb I have...

any ideas?

sound amp?

I can tap the sound amp 3-4 times and it pops back on....any ideas?


the board only cost $10 shipped....but I like it :)

is this fixable?

I'd say check for dry solder joints near that chip..

Also make sure the Jamma edge is super clean as the tapping may just be making the harness connect better..

It could be a faulty connection of the 12V pin in the harness to the board..maybe even the -5V.

Ohh yea,I had something similar happen with a CPSII set-up once..

it doesn't happen with any other game though....

i'll check the fingerboard...

fixed it....the daughter board is plugged in via a socket type like the eproms etc...and it just needed a good push together and it's all fine
