OK, I don't have a paypal account, so I've been using my father's for a while now. We've never received a payment through paypal only sent them. Is there anything special I must do to enable payment taking?

Thanks

i don't know if this is still the policy, but if you accept over $100 a month in paypal, you have to sign up for a verified account and pay fees :crying: :emb:

If you have a personal account, you can only take payment that is funded by checking... credit card funding or instant transfer paypal will ask you to either DENY or ACCEPT AND UPGRADE ACCOUNT

How much does this upgraded account cost?

Edit: It says I have a Premier Account. Is this the upgraded one?

Yeah, you wouldn't need to upgrade since you already have a Premier account. I'm not an expert by any means but I'm sure with a Premier account you can accept any kind of funded paypal.

It means you get charged the PP fee for ALL types of transactions, not just those done with a credit card. But you have to accept it if you want to be able to accept more than one form of PP payment.

Just another way that PP fucks us all over, little by little.

PayPal, eBay, same thing unfortunately. The seller really gets the short end of the stick here. You have to pay listing fees, auction ending fees AND PayPal fees. It's no wonder people charge so much for shipping and handling these days, they're just trying to cover their own ass. That's why I almost always come here first to buy/sell. I may not get some of the ridiculous eBay prices for my stuff, but at least I can keep my own costs down and get some pretty good trade deals.
