If you like track and field type games, Muscle Champion is a great 1-4 player game. You can create up to 20 characters as well.

Kuriun Sqaush is another great 1-4 player game.

Naruto 3.

Even if you don't know WTF is up with the anime, it's a Smash Bros type fighting game that's better than Smash Bros Melee, IMO.

Nobody ever mentions it, but Seta's game Legend of Golfer is terrific.

Fantastic arcade-ish golf game. Got great reviews from the press, but I think it bombed commercially.

It's too bad it didn't get put out on other systems too, or make it outside Japan.

I think I remember hearing that Bonk's Adventure/PC-?enjin (I never can remember which :D) was pretty good. That Naruto game looked fun, I've seen it before.

The Hudson Re-Makes are good as someone mentioned.

I always wanted to import Legend of Golfer. Is it four player? Is it easy to get into and play?

Nintendo Puzzle Collection. No questions about it. Panel du Pon (Pokemon Puzzle Challenge, whatever other names it's had in the U.S.), Dr. Mario, and Yoshi's Cookie. Yoshi's Cookie blows, but PdP and DM both in 4-player in one package make it well worth the price.

I would have said Rave: Groove Adventure, but that finally got a release over here.

As mentioned above, the Naruto games are good, Dreammix TV World Fighters looks pretty good too, but I haven't played it.

I might have to pick up that golf game, as my import GCN collection is a sad sad sight. I have more domestic stuff, that's one of the few systems I own where that is the case :spock:

Nintendo Puzzle Collection is a great game. I sold mine off thinking it was coming out here....but no. I need to pick it up again.

If anyone wants to sell me Legend of Golfer, let me know. :glee:

The Naruto games are entertaining, but not THAT good.

They are fun for standard matches, while the 4 player mode isn't good at all - having to lock-on and just be able to attack one single enemy at a time makes this mode really worthless. Also, the standard auto-guard hit is simply too powerful.

If this game was more like the Smash Bros series, it would be amazing - and I still believe the PlayStation2 Naruto games are much better.

My friend was telling me about an import game on Gamecube that sounded very interesting. I can't remember what it was called but, just the premise sounded cool.

Apparently, this company made this game that came with at walking stick. I'm sure you're wondering what that's for. But, what you do with the stick is like actually walk with it. It's supposed to commemorate the 3000 mile journey (not sure exactly how many miles, that's just a guess) of a monk a long time ago. You upload how many steps you've walked with the stick onto a memory card that plugs into it.

Anyway, my friend told me only NCS had the game. It was rather expensive, too, like over $300.

If anyone knows what game I'm talking about, let me know, I may ask my friend in Japan to pick it up for me. Any information about the game, as far as clarifications, would be great too.

Not really. It actually makes the game fun. To me at least. It's a great time. I love playing Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 2 and 3. If the people you are playing with like to attack you when you aren't looking then it is pretty annoying. But then their are dodges for that type of stuff.

They remain the only GCN games that I ever bothered playing more than once.

I do want to play the PS2 incarnations, I simply haven't gotten around to either getting my PS2 fixed or buying a new one.

I personally don't like the lock-on thing, it's pretty pathetic for this type of game. Also, I recall it only having a 2 vs 2 mode, and no "free-for-all" mode.

The Mission mode is pretty entertaining though.

I still can't believe Sakura and Ino have Alice's (Bloody Roar) stance... :oh_no:

Try BioHazard4, that game alone is worth buying a GameCube.

You should, they are great, better linked to the series if you ask me.

Big backgrounds with different planes, a lot of different items/jutsu, team assists, trees and other stuff for you to climb/bouce off/etc, a lot of cut-scene-ish moves and events, and the differnt DMs are just great - really entertaining, with a lot of content from the series.

Has anyone of you played Dragon Drive?

Apparently, it's a rail-shooter similar to the Panzer Dragoon games, only with cel shading.

Since I like the PD series, I guess DD may be worth a try?

I'd also suggest Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 2 and 3.

Very fun games, even if you're not into the show.

I've got a link to a nice little site full of match videos and such.

The quality of the videos are pretty poor, but they're more than good enough to give you an idea of what the game is about.

that walking game sounds very cool, you walk about, and stop at different places, to take in the sights, then you _actually walk to the next place, and do the same :spock:

Keep in mind that I haven't actually played it myself, but I've heard that DD is awful. Supposedly has zero challenge, short, bland, and uninteresting. There was a long review of it at ntsc-uk, I think.

With all the bad things I've heard about it, unless you could get it very cheaply, I'd stay away, especially at that nuts Play-Asia price.

This game is called Ohenro-san: Hoshin no Dojo (The Pilgrim: Dojo of the Awakening). Basically, you follow the path of the most ancient and most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage route on the island of Shikoku, the Shikoku-reijo. The path takes the average person about 40 days to finish on foot, and it takes you to 88 temples.

The game comes with a special controller that has three buttons: one on the left and right, and another in the top middle. You step on the left and right buttons to simulate walking, and the images that the game displays actually change to show you the distance you are traveling. The third top middle button is for the elderly who aren't as mobile; I assume they just press it down and the game automatically advances along the route for them.

Anyway, there's also a pedometer (not a walking stick) that you can take along with you when you go places, and then link it back up to the Gamecube. The software will then calculate how far you've walked in real life and translate that into distance in the game's pilgrimage route. Wild and crazy stuff, kiddies.

I guess that there are going to be four installments of the game, and the first (and as of yet, only?) title covers the first 23 temples on the route, complete with historical information about each location and the pilgrimage route.

That's all I know about the title, and I have never purchased it because the whole setup costs an arm and a leg (about $200 or so). I'll try to look around for a decent pic of the walking controller and edit it in this post.

And back on topic, I suppose you could consider Doshin the Giant an import title, since it never came out in the States. American gamers would have to resort to purchasing a PAL copy of the game if they really want to play it. I have been thinking of buying a copy, just because it would be something new to play and something that hasn't come out here.

Thanks for the warning.

So I guess Hudson Adventure Island and Chaos Field Expanded are the only imports worth getting for me at the mo, and I'm not even sure about Chaos Field Ex....

Ah well, don't want to sound too anti-Nintendo now that I have a Cube, but are there any other system-exclusive 'killer apps' except RE4?

I often check out various online stores and local shops for the good stuff, but other than loads of Marios and Zeldas, there's nothing that I find even remotely interesting.

Someone help a big-N n00b out, plz...
