The holy trinity is complete. Ferrari, Porsche... now MS has the Lamborghini license. Project Gotham Racing 3 is now my front-runner for Game Of The Year. :buttrock:

It's not dead to you, Microsoft has just stole your soul. Vision Gran Turismo looks cooler than that. It all depends on what type of racing you like.

If you want to squeeze 200 hp out of a Scion xB in a video game, that's okay. I'd prefer collecting Kudos in my Murcielago myself.

And as for Vision GT... that was a pre-rendered demo, wasn't it?

GT has been dead for me since the first one (which I enjoyed immensely). But GT2, 3 & 4 are just rehashes, more crappy cars and the same Brain-Dead AI.

So does Gran Turismo 4 have Scion's? Unless you were being sarcastic.

I will say the one GT I played the most was 2, and 3 I didn't play for long as I sold it to get Vice City. I was going to pick up 4 if it was online, but since it wasn't I decided to rent it one day instead.

But since Project Gotham is more arcadey, I don't try and compare it to the GT's. Maybe the Need for Speed's or something.

I'm honestly bored with Gran Turismo. I played #1 and #2 to death. I mean to death.

I picked up #3 for $6 and was disappointed. I guess I prefer the real thing to games and armchair racing.

As far as I know "Vision GT" was nothing but a tech demo/concept of what the next Gran Turismo will offer.

I've played all 4 GT games pretty extensively but so far I can honestly say

Forza Motorsport > Gran Turismo

Forza took all the good stuff from GT and added everything GT should have had (like online play and decent computer AI). :buttrock:

Forza is pretty worthless. It may have a pathetic damage model (which is little different from what GT2 had) and a "better" AI, but the handling physics is not as good or realistic as GT4. Nor are the graphics, though that is of lesser importance.

Plus no GT Force Pro wheel (or anything even close to comparable) just puts the nail in forza's coffin.

ferarri, lamboroghini, and porsche don't sell me a racing game. companies like RUF, Cizeta, and Caterham sell me a racing game. companies that make one or two cars, companies that dissapeared after making 8 models of one car, companies that are dead, but with cars that kick ass. forza has it's ferrari's and porsches. but gran turismo has a game with more realistic physics, great music, and wonderful landscapes. gran turismo 3 amazed me when i first played it, and 4 has yet to not amaze me. to me GT4 is the best driving game ever made, hands down, and nothing microsoft can do with forza can take that from me. so bring on the ferrari's porsche's and lamboroghini's. bring on the ugly paint jobs and the ai that runs you off the road, it still wont make me buy the game.

I just picked up Forza and I have to say I like it a lot better than GT.
for one it has no licenses I can jump right in and race, custom sound tracks, damage, agressive AI, great graphics. sure everyone will say GT4 looks better but IMO it's just the same game all over again with a new look. and I'm tired of that.

I own all platforms and was a bit GT fan but from this point on Forza gets my money.

I never really understood the appeal of GT, personally. It's another one of those games that's so realistic that you have to invest 8 shittons of your time just to get to a point where you can enjoy the game.

Having fun >>> Being realistic.
