stuffmonger said:it's easy to convert an mvs cab to work with pcbs... the only difficulty is when the pcbs are jamma+. regular jammas should ALL be able to work in an mvs cab (if they are standard resolution) I know for a fact that you CAN play tmnt in an mvs cab... I have one, and I've played it using my mvs setup. the only difference between a jamma board and a neo mvs is a slightly different jamma pinout (but that would only really mess up the sound as the player controls, video, and power are all pretty much identical)
if you run a jamma pcb on an mvs setup, the sound won't be distorted... it just probably won't be there. You don't need any additional hardware if you just want a testing setup (which is why I tried it on my mvs setup) see for yourself... I'll post links to the pinouts... this is the neo-mvs pinout - http://homearcade.org/BBBB/mvsjam.htmlKonig said:So when you ran your TMNT board, you just hooked it up as is? Did you need any cables or additional hardware?
also, are you saying the sound was distorted when you played?
I'm trying to find a few PCBs I can get into without modding my mvs cab. I'm eventually buying a CPS2 cab for the SF games....but I wanted to get a few old
favorites working on this cab for now if I can.
So far I have been looking at
TMNT 1+2
Double Dragon 2
The X-men game
and the Punisher
any suggestions?
... anyways... I'll pm you when I start buying parts, and can figure out exactly how much they cost.Konig said:its the one with the two speakers on top, the test menu has left, center and right audio tests.
Well Im going to pick up 2 or so boards and just let me know when you have time for it. Thanks again for offering
