I've got a working SNES FF3 cart here that will not save, even with full battery power being supplied through the MAD-1, and to the SRAM.

I think it's the SRAM IC, and I want to try to replace it. Here is what it says on the chip:

MS6264CLLL
15PC
9419 KT02

A quick search of Jameco's parts list gets me this: http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/st...1&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&categoryId=105090

About 4/5's of the way down we get to the 6264 SRAM. I need someone more familiar with IC designations than I. Which variant is likely the one I need?

Ideas?

If I can restore save function with an SRAM swap, that's good news for a lot of SNES RPG's. I've seen save failure before (non battery related) and it would be great to restore the carts. :)

I dont know the variations, but the 64k sram is exactly as the number implies, 64k static RAM set up in 8k by 8. The numbers after woul dbe a speed designation. There are low power versions. If its a DIP socketed chip, you might want to look at the Dallas non-vol series which is good for 10 years, or any variants.
