Well, today I set up the main computer for file and printer sharing. Long story short, I can't view it through Network Neighborhood, but I can view it with \\(its name) and by mapping a network drive to it. Just for peace of mind, I'd like to be able to view it through Network Neighborhood. What are the most common problems that prevent me from viewing it through Network Neighborhood?

For the record, I get this error when I double-click "Entire Network":
"Unable to browse the network.
The network is not accessible.
For more information, look at the Help Index
at the topic 'Network Troubleshooter'."

I usually have this problem if my Firewall is on. ( I use Norton Internet Security)

You can temporarily disable it for when browsing your network. Or you can create a rule that allows your firewall to let you use File/Print Sharing.

If it's not that, then I don't really know.

Add NETBIOS/NETBEUI to your networking protocols, make sure they're on the same workgroup.

Voila!
