Hey dudes.

I have a problem with a 6 Slot MVS.

If I turn the volume up, say, 75%, I get 75% sound, but if I put it up to 100%, the sound goes away completely. Silence.

Anyone else have this problem, and solutions?

I haven't heard of this particular problem, so I'm not speaking from any experience.

Though, I do know that the volume is controlled with a slide potentiometer. It's concievable that the slider is dirty or damaged so that at 100% it doesn't make contact anymore.

Does the headphone volume have the same problem?

Ok, I'll do that... Main symptoms from what I remember are sound from 0 - 75%, any higher it cuts out. If I reduce back to 75%, comes in again... Might go by and check it later today... :)

Thanks for your help...

The problem is fixed. My bro told me that the sliding pot needed to be cleaned ( slight application of contact cleaner followed by compressed air ).

It works all the way now! :D

Neo Geo MVS Problem Correction Steps (short form)

1) Clean the (insert whatever the fuck is giving you problems here)
2) Turn it back on and hope it works
3) Then and only then post on neo-geo.com and ask for help.

P.S. This isn't directed towards anybody in particular.

Point taken...

The post was only made, because the board I was trying to fix is somewhere else other than my home...

Rather than making 2 trips, wanted to make sure I can try several different things if cleaning it didn't work... ;)
