4-slot sound problem in 2-slot machine?

I've wired my neo 19" for stero sound on my MVS 2-slot.

I recently bought a 4-slot, connected it, and tried it out.

it's mostly worked perfectly, except that once the sound stopped. I turned the machine off, turned it back on, and the sound came back.

I havn't had the sound go out since...so, does that mean it's weak? Is this something that's fairly common that's just never happened to me? Does this happen with certain games or dirty games?

Or, is the sound wired differently for the 4-slot than the 2-slot?

It's only happened once, but I believe I can still return this board...though it'd be a real pain in the ass.

It happens to me sometimes...usually with one of the 4 slots...it's common..

Reasons:
Dirty Carts /Dirty mobo connectors
Cart Order
Cart mixture/carts that don't seem to want or can't work with others in the same mobo.
Boots
Possible- dirty edge connector/harness pins/loose harness pins.
Possible: Power Supply is a tad low on the 5+ Volt.

Usually after giving a newly put in cart a good cleaning after this occurs it solves the problem..
Or just cleaning all the carts..

I've even heard that clearing the back-up memory can clear this up..
........................................................................
What's the current cart line up..?

okay, Cool...just so long as it's not a symptom of something bad, I'm happy. I'll give that guy a good feedback, and call it a done deal. I've run the board for two days now and that's the first hint of a problem.

Now if my damn neo 19" deal would hurry up and go through!

BTW, anyone know of anybody who wants to trade an original pacman for an original pacman mini(Cabaret)?

I'm thinking about trying to get most of my machines in cabaret format before I buy a house, or have to move.

Give the mobo's connectors a good cleaning plus carts and let it run/see what happens.....other:change the cart lin-up(I say this because I've always seen it as a common symptom but after doing the above and it constantly occurs then it's a slight possibilty of something like a sound chip going bad and I'd hate to tell you something is ok when/then something goes wrong later.
Though the possibilty of this is very slight, just to be safe..

Original "Ms" pacman mini/Cabaret....there is one in Wildwood New Jersey,in a basement arcade..it's actually on a part of the stairs landing as you go down to the Arcade, man I've been wanting that buy that cab for the longest but the owner won't let it go for no price..It's the same look/size design as my lil cab with just a slightly bigger marquee..

It's sooo cool looking..
