Hi guys,
I'm having abit of trouble with my neo mother board, I can't seem to get audio
I've tried it on my jamma but i've been told that it has no 12v but also tried it on my new supergun and still no sound, My street fighter pcb works on the supergun so it's not the supergun it's self.
Please help
Thanks :D

What is you Supergun wired up for Mono.?Jamma -Stereo..IMO something may not be wired up right...(I'm not sure of the wiring on a street fighter pcb)..A ground may be in the wrong place or..

Has the MVH 1A ever had sound?

No 12V coming from the Power Supply = No Sound..

I figure you have raised the Volume Control knob......Have you raised it fully up/do you hear anything like a hum..?

You are going to have to compare Pinouts between your Harness/Supergunn and the Jamma Pinout for the MVH 1A ..as a start.

If you turn the volume up and put a finger on the inputs (pins 3 & 4) of the audio output IC; do you get a hum ??

The MV-1A doesn't have a HA13001 but a TA8201AK as the sound amp. It's the chip with a heat sink on it.

Turn up the volume and touch pin 1 (input) on the TA8201, do you get any buzz/hum sound from the speakers ?

O.k i've turn the sound up all the way, Without puting my finger on pin 1 there is a buzzing and as the game plays the buzzing changes level but no sound, When i put my finger on pin 1 there is no change in the buzzing.

that tends to indicate a problem with the audio output stage.
Does the IC run warm ?

You should tap sound before the amp. I suggest to tap it from the volume pot, the pin that is in contact with R79. You run it to a stereo receiver (with ground of course, etc.) and you should get sound. If you don't the problem is serious...

This is the last stages of the sound circuit on a MV-1B. It's identical to that of the MV-1A except that resistors are numbered differently:

MV-1B MV-1A

R87 = R76
R88 = R78
R89 = R77
R90 = R75
R91 = R73
R92 = R74
R93 = R79
R94 = R80

All these resistors are on solder side
