I know its not Neo, but I've had no luck so far.

Can I power a JPN/US DS with an official UK PSU, or do I have to use a stepdown?
The DS is 110v and the PSU is designed for a 220V SP/DS. Do the UK PSUs do dual voltage? I already have a UK SP PSU and I don't fancy using a stepdown or buying a third-party version.

I want to buy a JPN white DS and I was looking at buying this to go with it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8193424698&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1
I want to know that it'll be alright.

Thanx.

Well, first of all the DS itself is not neither 110V or 220V AC, is the psu the thing that converts a suitable AC to the DC current the DS needs (I don't have a DS but I guess is around 5-9V) and that it is common to all DS's in the world. Therefore, you can power any DS in the UK with an UK psu. What you CAN'T do is connect an US 110V-only psu to an UK outlet without using a stepdown, regardless of the region of the DS console itself (I'm not sure if those psu are dual 110/220V, but I the one I have for the SP is not).
Notice a SP psu should work in the DS, with the same consideration (an UK SP psu should power a jpn DS in UK for example).
