Playing sound on TV

Is it true that if you use the TV to produce sounds for a MVS board, that the TV sound might get messed up in the future?

No. The sound on a tv will not change over time (apart from usual wear), and the sound from the mvs will not change either... a good idea would be an attenuation circuit to make the sound coming from the mvs better, but the only damage would come from either playing the audio too loudly, or regular corrosion(which shouldn't ever get bad enough to be noticeable while the monitor tube still works... maybe after 20+ years...
