monitor support?

Ok I am building an upright aracde cabiniet and I am putting a tv in it. It is 20inch and is 44lbs. How much support does this need. I dont want it crashing down

I will have it resting on a 3/4" piece of mdf that is attached to the base by 12 L brackets. These are fairly thick L brackets. Do you think that is enough support?

Just to be on the safe side, you might want to rest the mdf on a few 2x2s... I know!... I'll get my paint skills workin'!

with this setup, you'll have absolutelly no weight problems, unless your sides give out. Good luck!
