Havent seen these Labels either...

And heres Metal Slug 2...

First off... Boot or not? Secondly... they have a lot of pencil writing on all the EPROMS... odd? Not? I've never seen the JP warning on the carts either.... The labels look bad, but the chips look good, so... little help.

The labels are just reprinted - the JP warning labels are normal

and my MS2 does not look like that inside-That is a lot of eeproms

Well the label's are fake 100%...
I have both of those games and they have no eeproms in...

I would say both are bootlegs...sorry...

Bummer, any dangers in playing the carts? I just want them to play. Secondly, if anyone is concerned, its Ju707 from Ebay, nice guy. This is the first MVS related Items I got off of him. His other stuff is great.

Play away with them

If you look at his auctions he always says neo cartridges or something like that - if you ask he will tell you they are copies or is unsure if they are legit. :crying:

Wow!!..I could see BAM being a boot as it's so known but MS2

Any Boots I've ever bought off Ju707 re-set after awhile of play, even the replacements he send were boots and reset too..(Green Screen of Dealth)

Give the games a long play and see if they reset your cab..plus let them run through the demos several times to see if they reset the cab..
Otherwise if they don't reset the cab/board then you could either keep them or ask for a refund as he does refund.
I've dealt with Ju707 many times and he's a great seller.....he just sells boots.. :oh_no:

What about the writing on the EPROMS, I found that interesting. Its like a diagram to let you see what chip does what. Its crazy, and in Pencil. I'll definately run a check on it as soon as I get my cabinet fixed. (YES I KNOW, THE MONITOR IS STILLLLLL BROKEN, Its getting a Cap-Kit installed, its been months... but yeah...) Why were you shocked with the MS2? Not common? Need more/better pics?

This is very bothersome for me trying to find some Metal Slug action... I knew BAM was pirated very often, but Metal Slug. :crying:

Back in the day how much did a blank cart cost?

The Problem is:..you can't test these and if you want to return I'm not sure if he'll go past the 10 Warranty..(?)
If they don't work correctly then what..?...I have not been lucky with the 2 boots I got from him..(2 more replacements/not working either)
Maybe since that was Way back he's now gotten better with making them..

I don't see boot negs in his feedback...I see somethings that I figure are posivites given because refunds were given..
Also stuff he sells may be just working ok now he must have learned to make better boots or his supplier,........and some stuff is not boots.
Plus :I don't think everyone knows what a boot is..You figure if you don't come here or ask/know of the place or even ever heard of a boot you'd never know. :eek_2:

You may be lucky and they may work great!!..My Puzzle Bobble/Bust A Move boot.(not bought from him) works flawlessly...

Why were you shocked with the MS2? Not common? Need more/better pics?
Well,I've seen Metal Slug 1 booted but it's not common to find it booted.. IMO
...............as in comparison to Puzzle Bobble/Bust A Move too.

Puzzle Bobble/Bust A Move has to be the most known to be booted game.
((I've had an easier time finding a real Bust A Move Again cart then I have Puzzle Bobble/Bust A Move...though Bust A Move Again does exist in bootleg form.))

I hardly ever see or hear of a Metal Slug 2 Boot.(though they are out there)..It's surprising to see but gives me more thought on what's written below.
.......With The Seller in General as I've checked what he sells in the past I think he's actually making these Boot Carts himself(??)...(That's a harsh aqusation as I have had nothing but Great deals with him..He's really a Nice Guy :) ..)

Go Figure:
He sells blank EPROMS/EPROMS ...
IMO if you "know" EPROMS then you can make Boots....(??)

Where do people get this stuff to do make boots boggles my mind..
I'm thinking Mass purchace of Misc Carts from China cheap, then boot a few to better/more profitable games to make money.
Otherwise it just may be a hobby, trying to see just how many good-different games can a person make..

I know you can get pretty much all the eproms you could ever need from www.mouser.com ... you can also find an eprom programmer for pretty cheap... Both of those items are sold with legitimate uses in mind however (like updating bios versions and stuff... at least... that's what I use mine for) The only thing I don't know where to get (and don't really have any need to get) are the blank pcbs.
