Here's a few more videos with a couple members here, namely Cam347 and Garou[ryu]. I bought some new blank tapes so I recorded my XBL session yesterday morning and picked some matches out. They're CvS2, and you can get them here:

I've also been messing with video editing this time around. I put the Xbox Live gamer tag under the person's lifebar to avoid any confusion, and added custom tracks. Casual matches, nothing serious here. Some lag is evident, but that's how it is sometimes.

I'd really like to get cam and kiun recordings in Third Strike. Both players that walk all over me, but still fun as hell. Also wanna do some CvS2 recordings Kunai, and more Hyper Fighting with Loopz. Shit, anybody who's any good throw a PM my way and we'll try to set something up.

Wes: I can prolly play on a Saturday or Sunday. Let me know if you're up for it. I will be moving in about a week or so, so hopefully I will get rid of my lag problem.

I think I can get ahold of a VCR if you'd like to record the garou contest at OVGE this year. We can get some third strike going as well.

Kunai - Cool man. Just say the time you'll be on and provided it's not after 1pm (I'm off thursday and fridays), I'll make it.

Magnaflux - That would be awesome. If you can score a vcr to record the stuff, I'll gladly capture it. The only problem I could see with it is keeping a log of who's playing and what characters so when the time comes to review the tape everybody will know who's playing with what characters and such.

EDIT - If you can't get ahold of a VCR, let me know and I can bring one.

I tried hosting but it didn't make a difference :crying: Near the end I was like 'lol why am I even playing' so I taunted with Ryu and took the beating in the corner. I don't seem to remember having laggy games with you before until recently. Like that time you and Loopz played about 6 months ago. That stuff was smooth as buttah. Hope your connection rocks when you move into your new place so we can get into some serious matches. GGs!

Yas, Loopz and I are going to be roomies, so I hope the connection will be much better at our new house. I will try to get him to play some SFAC with you, too. I think he sold his XBox, but I will still have mine.

My connection has been poop ever since early this year. I can't explain why. I live out in the boonies right now... so I guess that could explain it. Can't do Vice's grab super to save my life and I can't even do Yuri's short kick combo to super.

That would be great. One weekend some time in the future if you guys are free I could book a hotel and bus/plane ticket and tear it up with HSF2 and CvS2 with yas.

Coo. We should definitely plan something. I'll let Loopz know.

Did you record our matches today? There were some garbage games with tons of lag, but there were a few of them that were really close and exciting.

really though i need to practice more been playing to many fps

Play them in windows media player. I'm about to do another match of ours, and then a couple between Kunai and myself.

I watched those matches of u and my bro that u recorded. His Yama skillz suck and he agrees. I think he needs to stick with Ryu, I think he has a decent Ryu. However, Geese will always be is best character in the game. I tell him u want some recordings of 3S with 'em. Maybe we'll get some good Q matches to record ya never know.

And the walk-up LK poke with Kim is stupid, but hey it definetly works lol. Oh and why do u use S-Groove, I got nothin' against it cuz I liek S-Groove Morrigan, cuz it doesn't look like u whore supers when ya almost dead?

Wes-I'll be in NY until Sunday plan on new vids next week. I need some more CVS2 training. BTW I think you are anti Yama, because I can usually cut into everyone else's team pretty good w/ him. I think Yama suffers w/o roll.

But if you want some good Urien vids..... :cool:

Yamazaki is hard to use. He's a permanent member in my team right now though (see sig), so I hope to develop him a bit more. Cam should stick with him, because not a lot of people know how to fight a good Yama player, and you see good Ryu players everywhere so it's not that hard to adjust to them (imo).

The walkup lk with Kim is awesome. It's hard to mix it up on live though. Kim doesn't have much going for him, but that's one of his gems in his game plan. Much easier than Ryu's run, c.lp, run, c.lp, etc. I suck with S Groove, but know how to use it on paper. It's not good to whore supers when you're dead, because you can get punished easily and become predictable. Same with dodge. When people expect you to dodge be prepared to be thrown... a lot. Let dodge and infinite level 1 supers revolve around your overall game plan, not your game plan revolve around them.

Awesome man. I'd love to get trapped by Urien :buttrock: Alex and Ryu are the characters I want to build from the ground up and become seriously competitive with.

I'm not anti-Yama. Either you were getting lag (and I was getting lucky), or you just need to develop him a bit more. Yama is fucking sick, and if you've seen Dr.B beast on Chikyuu at Evo with Yama you'd see his true capabilities. I wish I could play Yama like Dr. B :crying:

I've been watching that a lot lately, he has a pretty good match w/ KSK in 03 EVO as well.

I almost never use SAII, and just stick with EX moves. Even in a guaranteed situation it just doesn't seem worth it to blow the meter that could be used for EXs, unless I'm wrong?

Thanks for all the great vids. I love watching these things. It always makes me wish I had devoted the time into whatever game is being featured.

And I have to ask, are you guys playing with standard Xbox controllers and doing those combos because I just got live recently and have yet to pick up a better controller and I can't do jack with a S-controller.

Guys, I think I am going to try to get into CvS2. I've had it for a while but I've only played online once or twice. Is Ryu a strong character in the game? What are the most effective Grooves for him?
