Hi to all,
I'm from Italy, last night I've made the RGB bypass fix of MKL, but I see on the tv all black with the title of KOF 2003 with pixel red green and blu but very hidden.

It depend because I've an RGB cable or I have to do something else other to remove the 4 capacitors, 3 resisotors, connect the 3 point with the 82ohm resistors and the sync without it?

Thanks to all

Are you sure you have 82 ohm and not 820 ohm resistors? Sounds like there may be too much resistance in the rgb channels.

I'm sure....

but I need this mod with also the rgb cable?

and if i need this mod and I used 82ohm resistors, what's the problem?

:-(

my NEO is a version 6

Were you using an rgb scart cable before? If not there's no point doing the rgb mod without using an rgb scart cable wired up for the aes. It may be that your cable is using the composite signal from the aes, but I'm not sure why it's gone dark. I thought the mod sacrificed composite output :conf: Anyone else got any ideas?

I've an RGB cable for my NEO

it have a scart connector from one side and is sure that is an rgb cable because my NEO is JAP and with the normal neo geo cable with rca white and yellow i see only black/white

With my cable I see with color, but I see that with the mod rgb bypass is better, or with the cable it's the same result?

Sorry I've resolved, th problem is that my cable was not an RGB, now I made an RGB cable and is all ok but I see a little more green on the screen, but I think that I can adjust it in some way!

Thank you

Hey glad you got it sorted. I thought it might be something to do with the cable. I reckon the cable must have been wired for composite and not rgb. I'm not sure why you have more green on the screen though. With the mvs people often use potentiometers instead of resistors on each colour output to adjust the strength of the signal. I guess you could do that with an aes but I don't know where you'd mount them.

Ah ok I'll shut up then cos MKL knows far more than me! Everything I know about rgb mods MKL taught me anyway! I wondered why he hadn't posted in this thread. Didn't realise you were pming him. :mr_t:

Hey MKL can you tell us why he had a dark picture on his tv after doing the rgb bypass mod because I'm curious what the problem was.

It's all OK!!

I've put 1 trimmer 1K on every channel (Red - green - blue) and now I've a perfect regolation!
