Just wondering if anyone would be interested in buying one of my cabinets from me. I live in Vegas so you can pick it up or I can ship it for the actual cost. These are the original red machines (like the ones pictured on this site). Machines are not mint (is anything?) but are in nice shape, especially for the age. Pictures can be sent if serious about purchasing either of the units. Will consider offers higher than 700.00 for either machine.

Thanks,

Jasboo

I would be, but not for $700. The street value for a used Slot-4 is about $500 max, considering I have to tack on an additional $300 to have it shipped to me, you can see why I'd be reluctant to spend $1000.

Hell, a brand new slot-4 is only worth about $800.

DJ I sent your graphics this afternoon. I'm not getting out of the Neo so I won't be selling any of my carts just yet.

Orpheus I sent you an email with the links to the mini cabinet pictures. Lmk if you received the email or not.

To the other 2 jokers who posted in this thread:

Why respond to my thread if you have no intentions of buying what I have? Go buy your neo candy for 450.00. Isn't the candy a different machine from what I have? I don't think I need to "rethink" my prices because I really don't give a shit if I sell either of my cabinets. I just wanted to get rid of one to clear some space out for my other machines. When I'm ready to give one away I'll let everyone know but until then I'm asking what I'm asking. The last time I saw a "new" MVS 4 slot dedicated cabinet was about 8 years ago. Pretty amazing that you can still get a "new" one for 800.00. Just because I didn't say mint doesn't mean it isn't in nice shape (was the best out of 9 machines). Not to take my frustrations out on you two but those who know me know I have had it with people claiming they can find carts, cabinets or whatever for cheaper than the asking price. Why not just buy it from the cheaper place and leave us "expensive" guys alone. I'm sure the turnaround and product is the same anyways. <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

Thanks to all who have dealt with me in the past. You all know what I am about and what kind of person I am to deal with. <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

First thing I said was what....read back and see.

Who said anything about a Neo Candy? I'm talking regular stand up MVS.

Apparantly not.

I didn't say you could "get" one. I said that's what is worth. Big difference.

Don't worry about venting. It's fine and allowed. But try to understand what I was saying.

The reason I would rather buy one from you instead of a dealer is I would rather support the community at large than a company.

Like I said, I understand that you wanted to vent, but next time make sure that you state the price is firm.

Blaine-- The candy comment and the "rethink" quote was directed at Jonnah. I shouldn't have lumped you two together. I understand if someone wants something cheaper than the asking price (doesn't everyone). I guess my problem is the way people come across. Your first sentence is fine but then you say street value at 500 and hell new worth 800. I figured if something was "worth" an X amount you should be able to buy the item for X amount or lower (why would anyone pay more for an item than what it is worth?). Please understand an item is only worth what the buyer is willing to pay AND what the seller is willing to sell it for. In my area (Las Vegas) the Neo 4 slots sell for 800 minimum (at least the place I got mine from). I don't think people are lining up to buy them at that price but that is the price they are selling them for. Beat up cabinets are a dime a dozen, I felt mine was nicer than most hence the asking price of 700. Most (all?) of the people I have dealt with know I am easy to work with and they know what they are getting when they buy from me. I have done many deals through EBAY and these forums and haven't had anyone complain yet (at least to me).

That was kinda my point when I said $700 was too high, that it was worth $500. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

But I totally dig where you're coming from and respect why you're charging $700.

Cool I'm glad we understand each other.

i've got no complaints. you're a great seller! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

i think that people really get into a mindset that everyone's able to get "the deal of the century" through these forums. the thing that people have to realize is that if you know what the going rate of something is, so does your seller (99% of the time in these forums) and they know full well what they could get by going to eBay or other places.

don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great deals going through here, but especially when looking at MVS carts, we all pretty much know where they're coming from and can contact the majority of the distributors on our own. that leaves a lot of the sellers coming close to just covering the shipping costs on their orders and barely making a small profit on top by selling to us, the fans. i have purchased many MVS carts through this site for less than they would've gone for on eBay because the sellers wanted to help someone from the forums out...there wasn't an obligation on their part to give me a good deal and they certainly don't have to continue advertising carts at such low prices. unlike most sellers i've encountered, a large group of the ones here do not jack up the prices of future carts if the same cart sold in 2 minutes.

this could go on and on, but i'm sure that i'm stating the obvious.

Most of the cabinets I've seen for sale in Fla., LV, and St. Louis have had signifigant markup. I guees you could attribute it to the tourism industry. While a 4 slot may only be worth 500 in the midwest, somewhere with high traffic and large expenditures it is going to command a higher price. Simply because someone there probably makes 2x-3x more money off of it. I'm sure if he really wanted to get rid of it, Circus Circus would gladly pay him 800-1000 dollars for a pristine machine. It's all about earnings potential with machines and prices.

Jasboo's asking price of $700 is not bad at all. I for one paid $800 for my mint US 4-slot, and it was definetly well worth the money. I would also like to add what a great and reliable seller jasboo is.
