i've already tried that (although it may have been incorrect :conf: ) i also tried soldering it like its shown on chadsarcade.co.uk and that just gave me a rolling pic :( when i tested the signal on another tv i could se what was happening, but there was no colours, it was all black... yet with edges

edit: do i need to add any resistors or capacitors or anything like that to get a signal (which shows up on the tv, not the OSD)

btw i have tested this board with a sg just after new years... so i know it works... or should work, gonna see if i can borrow that sg again :-)

edit2:

heres an overview of how i have connected the wires

i will try and see if i can dig up a cam so you can see my bad soldering skillz ;-)

edit3: updated pic in case some other fellow europeans may stumble into the same problem :-)

mvs

I expect the signal is too strong if it is mvs...
Try putting a 100 ohm resistor in series with each of the rgb signals.

hm... ok i will try and see if i can find some 100ohm resistors somewhere :-) but why would the screen have no colours if the signal was too strong? some kind of ovp? (or equivalent)

ok, after adding the resistors it shows the pic when changing to AV but only for half a sec or so

gonna try an rewire it and see if that helps..

You need to wire pin 16 on the scart to the +5v on the jamma to tell the tv that it's an rgb signal it's receiving. It should work fine then.

hm ok... will try, didnt know what "blanking" was so i didnt connect it... but dont i have to add a resistor to that also since 5v is more than the scart spec allows?

edit: yay im very happy now, i have a fully functional 6 slot mvs board :D
thanks for all your help

Glad you got it working ok. Hey I'm jealous, I only have a 2-slot!

I'm not an expert but from what I understand the +5v tells the tv that it's receiving an rgb signal as the scart connector can be used for several different types of video and sound signal.

Was wondering if Pin #19 or Pin #20 must be connected to Video Sync? I've seen different schematics with either pin having active sync.

I've seen a few different schematics for neo scart leads. Dalle has connected a ground to each of the rgb return signals, whereas I just connected the ground to the sync return. Both seem to work fine. I thought pin 19 was for sync output and pin 20 for sync input.

well the scart connector is kind of reverse about input/output, for example when i connect my pc to the tv via tvout i have to set my scart connector (uses s-vhs/composite) to output or else i wont get a signal, also when i tried wiring the sync to pin 20 (which it states that you should on chadsarcade.co.uk) i got a rolling pic so i switched it back to pin 19 (as i originaly thought it should be on) and viola nice stable pic :-) now its just a shame that my tv sucks :D

edit: btw i read somewhere on the forum that you dont need +12V to power audio if you use the headphone output, is this true?

edit2: about the grounding... i just like to have all electrical stuff grounded :D
