Sounds like it's more an issue with the Supernova than the MK2 pcb. Does the Supernova have any adjutments for the picture? On my HGA supergun, some of the PCBs won't display right but will work fine in a cabinet. It's probably because my system has a crappy video encoder.

I've had probs with some arcade mobo's that just won't sync up with older monitors, don't know the supernova/supergun side of things..

This is common with MK boards with some encoders, AD do not work, Sony do (like in the jrok)-or so Im told. I have the same prob with my supergun.

It's usually the TV's fault if it can't sync to the 53.2Hz signal that MK1-3 uses.

The TV will sync to what the encoder outputs, thats where the problem lies imho.
Some encoders do not like 53.2 Hz frame rate. 50 or 60 they are designed to handle.
Its a different story if your TV accepts rgb of course.

it is the pcb but not in a way its bad.
all the mk boards i have act the same way on my wega, nba jam will do the same thing. hell even the bootleg ver of mk1 would roll.
some tvs i tried mk1 is black and white.
but they work on other tvs.

Even with the JROK encoder certain Sony Wega TV's won't sync to the MK games. Most other TV's will.

My parents 31" Sanyo TV works great with the Midway games.

It's a Sony thing(and a few others, but Wegas are notably bad about this). Their TV's don't like the odd refresh rate the Midway games use.
