How do I mod this hori GC Joystick to play on a SG/Neo without permanently changing it (just in case I want to use it for a GC?)

Thanks

I'm about to do that exact mod on that stick for DevilRedeemed. I'll post what happens.

You just need to connect a DB15 cable to the microswitches of each button and then follow the Neo-Geo pin-out:

If you don't touch anything else it might work at the same time for GC and the neo/supergun, but it might not work in certain (or all) arcade boards. Another possibility is to remove the internal pcb and construct an adaptor to GC from it, just like MKL made with the DC stick:

Pic of the inside, this idea should work...

HorimodforSG.jpg

Here is the PCB inside the GC Hori stick... I am thinking of attaching switches to the leads responsible for GC function (leading to the encoder chips etc)... and when switched off, I could use the sticks for a SG/Neo without interference after its controlls are connected to a D-sub 15pin.

Does this sound practical do you guys? I think it should work fine.

PS--> All red lines = Scratch point/ Cut leads... I will add switches for all these points... I could use a 3 4P on-off switchs.
