Hello everyone,
I know this is a Neo Geo Forum, but just wanted to see if anyone is experienced with the problem. I have a Marvel Vs. Capcom B board (CPS 2 arcade system). The board is dead and nothing appears on the screen. I found the CPS2 Shock web site, but reading the instructions on how to restore the board seems very hard to do (especially if you are a bad with soldering).

Does anyone here on the forum know of any place I can take my board to fix this problem. I contact CAPCOM by email and they said "As of April 30, we no longer support the CPS 2 system or repair.

So, if anyone can guide me in the right direction, that would be very help.

Thanks for listening,
Darrick

When I e-mailed Capcom regarding fixing dead CPS2 boards, they told me to contact Betson. If they can't do it, Capcom said they'll know someone who can.
http://www.betson.com/

Razoola charges 30 Euro per game (includes return shipping). It costs a bit more than 30 since you have to ship it to him, too. He only wants the specified ROMs, not the entire board.

Nice offer, I'm not too thrilled about paying $38+S&H to fix a game. I don't know if Razoola's prices are cheaper or more expensive than market value.

yes, but with razoola's fix, you'll never have to change a battery again, can pause the game, get a sound test mode that doesn't suck (see SPF2T for one that does) and the ability to change the game's language (on most boards)

I think it's worth the value. YMM, of course, V.

Yeah it sounds like a great deal, never having to worry about your game dying! Thats why I originally got rid of all my CPS2 stuff a few years ago. I wish i didnt now :oh_no:

So what magic device did the capcom engineers use???? and if they dont use it now, will they be scrapping/selling them??

(heads to Capcom and checks the garbage bins)

If you get an eprom programmer, you can have raz e-mail you the fixes, and burn them yourself, so you won't have to deal with shipping hassles... still 30 euros though... and he needs a pic of each board, the date, and the word suicide in the pic. also, he requires a "dump" of the old eproms (a copied image from your dead eproms). I'll definatelly have my boards fixed when I get around to stop spending too much money on other stuff
