Man now I wish I was going this Year:

SNK PLAYMORE USA CORPORATION, the US publishing arm of the SNK PLAYMORE CORPORATION, announced today that they will unveil eight new games for the Xbox video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 2, and the GameBoy Advance at the 2005 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles May 18-20. SNK will be located in South Hall, Booth 646.

In addition to the many new games premiering at the show, the SNK booth expects to have swarms of showgoers visiting the booth on Wednesday and Thursday, May 18-19 when noted SNK artist, Falcoon, will be signing limited edition posters of Mai Shiranui from The King of Fighters series. Falcoon, one of the winning artists in last year's Into the Pixel art competition, held at the show will be autographing a different poster each day. The signing will be from 2-4 PM on Wednesday and 10 AM-12 noon on Thursday while supplies last.

Debuting at this year's E3 are The King of Fighters NEOWAVE, Samurai Shodown V, The King of Fighters '94 RE-BOUT, The King of Fighters: Maximum Impact - MANIAX, Metal Slug 4/5, and King of Fighters 2002/2003 each for the Xbox, Metal Slug 4/5 for the PlayStation 2, and Metal Slug 1 for the Nintendo GameBoy Advance.

"The SNK booth is usually crammed with our fans at E3," commented Ben Herman, SNK PLAYMORE USA CORPORATION president. "With the added excitement of Falcoon signing his limited edition Mai posters for fans, I expect our booth to experience the largest turnout ever to both play our games and to get each of the posters."

Look down next time man.

I know I already made a thread about this, I just think it's super ultra important that EVERYONE buys Metal Slug 1 on the GBA. ;)

I'll certainly get it. I thought Metal Slug Advance wasn't as bad as some people thought.

I'll try and get a few... I'll try, but you wouldn't believe how the fan boys swoop on these things man. I watched them devour posters last year, took all of about 5 mins before they were all gone.

Wow, I'm surprised they're shipping Falcoon off to E3.

Great news for the fans, and the autographed posters will make a nice souvenir.

If he's anything like 95% of the Japanese people I know though... don't expect very much English out of the guy.

Can someone post some of Falcoon's work?

I love SNK's art throughout the years and how it's evolved. I just don't know which stuff this Falcoon guy has done.

How long has he been with SNK?

KoF2003 and many of the character designs for Maximum Impact (all of the alternate costumes as an example).

He got this, I think, due to the huge popularity he gained among fans everywhere for this section on his page where he did various redesigns for almost all the King of Fighters characters as well as many from the Guilty Gear series, etc.

I think it would be cool if more of his designs got used in the games, like Leona's body suit/life force sucking thing, very badass.

It is nice to see that we will still be getting games for the home via the Xbox.

Wowowowoowow....

I will def be waiting in line for that shizzit. I'll try to get as many auto'd posters for you guys, they will be going for $50 shipped. j/k lol

I will get as many posters for everyone, last year they made each person scan thier id card first and then you had to get back in line, and when the creator of Cowboy Beebop was signing the line went forever. I'll do what I can and post it on wed and thur after the show.

I'm glad he reorganized his site slightly more. The five year old topless girls withd double Ds posing seductively used to be tossed in randomly with the non-pornographic artwork.

At the moment I agree, I want to see Falcoon do more official SNK art though. His style is smooth overall yet has an intentional looseness to it on all the curves and such. I'm wondering if he'll tighten this up the same way you see Shinkirou's art evolve in the early to mid nineties.

I never cared for the art in KOF 2k1

but the man must've been on a creative high for SVC, which I regard as Nona's best. It has some of the most bizarre reditions of SNK and Capcom fighters I've ever seen.

Falcoon bores me

Shinkirou was excellent, of course

If this is going to turn into another SNK art thread, I might as well say it now:

Shinkiro > Falcoon, Nona, Hiroaki, whatever.

Period.

Just a general rule, anyone that follows SNK artwork has to read this if they haven't already. ;)

Random trivia: Nona always pushes for Jubei Yamada to be put into a King of Fighters game.

Let me get this straight.

You don't like Falcoon at all. And You like Nona not because of 2k1/2k2, because he/she did SvC so creatively???? ...........

You mean if someone sends you one signed Falcoon poster, you'll send them two other signed Falcoon posters in return?
