Anyone want to suggest some shooters for PS2 and DC?

I don't really want to spend a fortune here and it seems that a lot of shooters end up costing a lot of money if they become rare. So I'm going to confine myself to these two systems for the time being. If anyone can suggest some games that aren't terribly rare and won't cost a fortune I'd appreciate it.

DC - BORDER DOWN

Best hori in years.

If you've got the ability to play PS2 imports, there're tons of great shmups.

Castle Shikigami 2 (Shikigami no Shiro 2) for PS2. Really cheap good shooter thats actually out here. I rarely see it in stores, but you could find it on ebay for cheap. Gradius 3,4,5. For DC; Gunbird 2, Gigawing 1 and 2, Mars Matrix, Zero Gunner 2(import).

Gradius V (PS2) should be really cheap and it's a great game.

PS2, Gradius V, top shooter, co developed by Treasure!!

DC, Ikaruga, Borderdown, Mars matrix, Trizeal, Psyvariar 2, Gunbird 2. Giga wing!

Lovely ports, also I would recommend finding a VGA box for your DC, its nice and easy to turn your pc monitor (especially a TFT) round to play Vert games in super crisp VGA mode!!!

That's one HELL of a game for the Simple series!

If I had to have one for each system, Gradius V and Border Down.

Zero Gunner 2 is very good but gets really boring and bland for me after a while, like just about everything Psikyo's made.

Mars Matrix is GREAT.

I don't know anything about Trizeal, post information about it.

Good shooter, especially as it has almost been made, designed and funded by just one guy.
