BAOBOY aka John Christy = Scammer???

*BEWARE!* BAOBOY aka John Christy = Scammer!

Well,

I dont like calling someone out however my problem with BAOBOY aka John has gone on for way to long. Basically, to cut a long story short on the 7/4 I sent him $420US plus a $35US transfer fee which in total came to $455US out of my pocket. I was meant to be buying 2 x US PSP Value packs - Brand New to be shipped to me via EMS.

Well today it is the 2/5 - it has been 25 days and all I have been given for the past 3+ weeks is the same excuse.

I wont even bother posting anymore because as you can see it is all the same bs. I have been more than patient with this, I mean I myself have sometimes taken longer to ship out an item than expected however 25 days is just to long. As well, for the past 7-10 days he has only been replying to me when I send him a PM that sounds "threatening". Basically he has only replied when I tell him I want what I paid for or I will be forced to take action.

The thing is a week before the 4/7 I bought a US PSP of John for $210US (Located here) and it arrived fairly quickly and on time - I was happy with our transaction. So, I went ahead and bought two more. I was going to buy another 2 of him making 4 in total as he claimed he was getting more in but after what has happened that seems unlikely.

Now John, I want one of two things:

1) Ship me the god damn PSP's - that is if you even have them.
2) A full refund of $455US as I am not being stuck with the fees that I had to pay, this looks to be a complete waste of my time.

I really hope that you aren't a scammer John like so many others that have been on these boards. I have been scammed to many times now and for your sake I hope you haven't done it to me again.

I know you are a trust worthy member Sama.... and a good person to deal with.

John, not sure of the specifics... but just get this finished off asap and passed you.

I hope you 2 can work things out.

Yeah, I had a good transaction with him to. Hence, even though I thought the price for 2 NEW US PSP's was a bit suspect I still purchased them...a grave error on my part.

Anyway, a few days after my original post John PM'ed me, with the same old - to much work, couldn't get to the post office, will give you a refund or ship tommorrow crap...and here I am several days after that with still no reply. I know the way this is playing out as I have been scammed before, sounds very familiar.

I have a transaction in progress with BAOBOY. I sent him a money order weeks ago. He got the M.O. and he said he would ship. About a week went by and I got nothing. I PM'd him again and he said he would ship. Another week and no items. I PM'd him again. He responded about a couple of days ago. I didn't want to jump to conclusions since I wasn't in much of a rush. Hopefully he will follow through with transaction.

I hope this works out for both of you.

I'll see if I can drop him an email or something to help out.

Have you had any word back from him yet? He hasn't been on these froums for nearly a week now and I have recieved no word from him.

Nothing yet. I am getting kind of worried now. It shouldn't take this long to receive items. He has to have some sort of free time to ship these items.

Yes me to. I paid him over a month ago now. You cant tell me that in one whole month he didn't have time to go his local post office. I have seen how these situations have played out before as I have been scammed before. This case is exactly the same as my other bad experiences I am afraid.

The deal sounded too good to be true,that's why I backed away from it. John's got a pretty good track record,so hopefully he'll come through for the both of you.

On the last one, I paid him for a PS2. Over a month went by and I had really shoddy contact with him, he said he was going through a lot. I never did get the PS2, but after about a month and a half I did get a full refund.

John seems like he's had some real problems shipping in a timely manner lately, and coming through with items, but I honestly don't think he is a scammer. Even if it takes awhile (not that it makes it alright), I do think he will come through in the end, whether it's a refund or the item.

I hope everything turns out well for you guys. I do think that John will eventually make everything right. Hope this helps a bit, at least for your piece of mind.

Well, I hope I get something in return. Although this pattern of his is disturbing. Until I get my $ back he is a scammer in my books. I haven't had any contact with him for nearly 3 weeks. I have sent him numerous PM's with no response, at least if he had the decency to respond I would feel better about this whole situation.

It's been over a month since he received my money now. He sent 3 PMs promising that he would ship. He did this before in the past, I should have checked his history before I bought from him. This is very disappointing.

After talking with Solidus Snake we have both agreed that John has scammed us. This has gone on far to long. I paid him nearly 2 months ago and John has not been online since the 3/5 - over two weeks now. I have not heard from him in nearly 3 weeks myself.

Damn, I'm really sorry to see it has come to this.

I have vouched for John in past instances regarding this same situation, even when I was out $100+ myself from him at the time. Like I stated earlier, I got my money back eventually, and I suspect you both will as well. I really hope I am right, as John has always been a cool guy in my book, and I would hate to see yet another scam take place on the boards here.

That sucks, I got my modded PS2 from him and ordered two games... After about three weeks of delays I got the PS2, but he said he was still having problems with his distributer. A month later I did get a refund though.

I almost bought a PSP off him last month for $215.00 shipped and thought it was too good to be true and got nervous about sending a MO so I decided not to buy it. Hope all works out for ya'll!
