a Guide to:common issue's with system's(arcade/home/misc)

trying to get into other arcade system's??...and checking into some common issue's with each system befor making any purchase(feel free to add to it)

i'll start with some

cps2 issue's..
>bad connection<

cause- by removing /changing cps2 B board's
fixed - carefully inspecting connection and make sure it's connected correctly/tightly
>battery suicide<

-change you battery every 3-4 year(just to be safe but if you want to take a chance leave it for 5 year)
fixed-Razoola

NAOMI cart-error01
-region issue's..some game(cart) don't work with you MB??
cause -eprom (D,E,F,G)
fixed -get the right Eprom burned(naomi forum) for your naomi MB
- Overheating
cause-some game over heat easily(MVC2) the fan in the Mb is busted or got jammed by dust
fixed/prevention -check and make sure the the fan is working properly/and the fan opening is not obstructed by dust or misc stuff....cleaned with a canned/compress air or a vaccum cleanner

A fairly universal one is dodgy contacts on socketed chips ...... pull the chip out and clean with a pencil eraser ... or a fibreglass pencil .......

worst case scenario is having to replace a loose socket .......
