Hopefully our correspondants like beelze can make it there and take some pics and info... I'm really wondering what the game will look like...

The artwork's of Haomaru and Nakoruru don't look outstanding... In adition I don't see Yuki mentioned anywhere, can somebody confirm it?

Damn!

The test is in Shinjuku here in Tokyo, but I'm going out of town on the 28th and I'm coming back on the 2nd.

Damn damn damn damn.

Nice. :)

Just wanted to add that the game's full title is "Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi Kenkakuden."

Another NBC test? I thought that game had to be already ready as it should be coming out officially in May...

Only thing that's revealed about this Samurai Spiritis is that it's like KOF NeoWave... another "testing the water" type of game. so I heard it's more like a "dreammatch" then being an actual sequal... I could be wrong at this point tho.

In my opinion they already tested the waters enough with Neowave, not to mention the imminent NBC... So this better be a brand new game or else... :blow_top:

Hmm... judging by the fact that there's no number in the title, my guess is test /expreiment like someone else said.

Ingredients: old sprites (low res of course), semi-new system (like the heat mode, or whatever it was called in KOFNW), and hi-res BG's (again, like KOFNW).

Put in a blender and mix... TADA!

Samurai Spirits Tenka!

(still, despite my jaded cynicism, I'd really like to go to the test, damn damn damn!)

Yeah nothing new here, except some bland backgrounds and dull music.

I wonder how the new 5th botton with work out

I just hope that, having 5 buttons available, we won't need to press 2 buttons at the same time to do a hard slash, something I really hated in the first 2 samurais, was glad they removed in 3 and 4, and was like WTF? when it was there again in SS0 & Special.

actually I think Haomaru looks great - 90s looking art style, I love it. Nakoruru on the other hand looks like crap.

I'll just wait and see if my worse fears are realised upon seeing this (rehash). I seriously hope not, but everything's pointing to worse case scenario. and yet, worse case scenario - it'd still be Samurai Spirits.

both tests are only in shinjuku so unfortunately despite having holidays i will not be attending either :(

the only way the new ss will be any good if you ask me is if they transplant ss0s an already perfect game with new characters (at least 5) new bgs and nothing changed about the gameplay except for more balancing fixes....

They always seem to keep Samurai Spirits location tests pretty low-key, don't you think? Wonder if that's because they don't feel they can be as bold with the franchise as they can with their big crossover titles...

Anyways, give me a MOTW2 already Playmore!
