can medium resolution pcbs run on a hd tv?

can it be done? i know the vga port on the back of a few projection tvs like my sammy dlp(does not work perfect all the time) work with neo geo and turbo duo.. so if those work at 15 khz and the input is made for 60khz i would think 30 khz would work?
did i even get the specs right......

Medium res is 25KHz. If the TV claims that it will sync to that, then it might work. Usually the VGA connectors on HDTV's are 31KHz only, but some might work.

has anyone tried to use a XRGB-2 Plus with a med res pcb to play games on a pc monitor? if that works then maybe a it will then work on the vga port of a hd tv
