Damn great news!
I'm so interested in getting approached by some clown

I think it's kind of cool.
Has anyone seen the Street Fighter 2 turbo (Or was it champion edtion?) ones on sale now?
It comes with 2 genesis style 6-button controllers.

Could be nice for the Neo Geo community. Let's see how will be the quality.

I think it may be cool for them to bring over the Ikari Warriors and the P.O.W., seeing as those games were not released on the MVS. Having ports near perfect to their arcade counterparts rather than the 8-bit NES ones would be great.

Are any of these things Arcade Perfect? Or are they the Atari versions, or some other systems version of the game, etc?

Indeed. Quality will be a big issue, if it's like most plug 'n' play games it'll probably be ugly looking... though I may be surprised.

I can't see them being arcade perfect - for instance, I have the Namco Pacman one, and even on that some of the sounds are cut etc. They are still pretty cool though... to be honest I mainly bought the one I have for my parents, as they like playing classic games like Pacman (other than that they have no videogaming interest at all).

I noticed the sound issue too (especially on Galaxian with no background noise and the firing sound is way off.

From what I understand it's because all the games are being emulated, just like if you were playing on say MAME.

So we're not really getting the actual arcade games, but they're pretty close.

COSTCO in the US even had them (PACMAN and MS PACMAN) for like $14 bucks.

Has anything newer surfaced with this?

They could make one that has a rotating joystick with the Ikari games, SAR, Chopper I, POW, etc.

Hopefully the sound emulation is better, many of these so far are emulating old hardware that used a seperate board with sound samples on it or Genesis hardware which we know even Sega itself is too out of it to emulate properly. I think this is the first time there will be arcade games from this era being emulated on these, so the potential is there.

Man the biggest crime it the second Sega Classics release (the red controller). If you can't get the sound on Gain Ground right then do the right thing and DON'T publish it before you commit seppuku.
