Like the header says. I will do my best to make sure my home carts do not go to rats like dion and chris when I part with them, lest they wind up as sac carts or "Official NGF" (No Good Fake) versions. I am not getting rid of them right away, as I still need to find a good scanner to make high-res scans of the inserts for my website archives before I part with them.
For those considering getting a fictional US version of KOF 2K for $500.00+, think about this instead. In about eighteen months, the MVS version will be cheap, and you could pick one up, as well as a new Super NOVA from http://www.massystems.com . Add in the cost of a new one-slot MVS board, and sure, the cost all together seems a bit high, but the money you would save buying MVS carts instead of home carts would be substantial. Quite frankly, I am really not sure why I even bothered with home carts to begin with. It was probably just the hype. At the time I discovered the "online Neo scene" I already had a four-slot MVS, and did not even know that they were still making home carts, I was just looking for more information about the Neo Geo Pocket Colour.
It just seems too silly to pay that much for some pieces of paper, and plastic or cardboard boxes. It is about the games, not the packaging, unless the packaging says "NGF" on it, in which case there is a better than even chance the cart itself has been messed with and the docs are crappy, low-res laser prints.
