Make certain you find a kit with a multimeter. The one you posted doesn't have one, and that isn't going to cut it if you're planning on doing this seriously.

what do you think that big yellow thing with the two leads coming out of it is?

I would add a flux pen if you are planning on board work along with solder wick as opposed to the pump.

If you are serious about all computers (assuming newer ones) then I would also include a rs232 tester, parallel port tester (you can build these easily) and an ethernet crimping and testing kit.

Possibly a POST tester card and some decent diagnostic software (most you can put together yourself for free or cheap).

Together with that kit it seems to cover most of the tools I use on a day to day basis as a computer technician.

Clearly, I wasn't referring to you. When I typed "make sure you find a kit" who else could I have been talking to other than Highlander? Did you mention that you were looking for a kit in this thread? No.
