That's right, old school Doom. Well, playing online requires some of the mods created for Doom in the past few years, so it's not that old school.

But seriously, if any of you are interested, there's a nifty little program out there called Doom Connect. It lets you log into some dedicated servers for Doom and deathmatch/co-op. Pretty sweet stuff. The authors of Doom Connect, CodeImp, seem to be partial to the Skull Tag mod of Doom, but you can use any of the other more popular mods out there, like ZDoom, ZDaemon, etc. It even hosts games for Doom III, if that's more your speed. You need to have the .wad files for the versions of Doom you want to play online, so be sure you have them somehow.

Anway, if you guys are interested, check it out. Nothing like some good ol' Doom deathmatch to get the blood pumpin'. :p

EDIT: This might be totally out of left field, but do the versions of Doom and Doom II on Xbox (that came with the Doom III Collector's Edition) have Live support, or are they just split screen multiplayer enabled?

I figured this... Damn halfass. I guess they need something to market for the extra $10.
