Sorry for the Gamefaqsish Topic...

But I'm bored.....

I'm trying to think of arcade games where the home version was signifgantly changed for the better. And I'm not just talking about added features and shit. But where it plays much different.

My list so far:

Ninja Gaiden
Kung Fu Master
Contra/SuperC
Bionic Commando (Big Change)
Tecmo Bowl
Gunsmoke

Off the top of my head, the only one I can think of is Soul Calibur. The Dreamcast version was heaps better then the arcade one.

Those CONTRA games suck on arcade......
A verticle monitor Platformer? Most of the levels are side scrolling....

And Kung Fu master was so unrefined...

and don't get me started about the Tecmo bowl port....

a chick with huge breasts!!! (who gives a shit about the rest?)

bionic commando "port" isnt superiour since the games are hardly anything alike..
i wouldnt say the contra games are that much like the console ones either..

a superiour port is Hyper duel for the saturn... better graphics and better sound with equal gameplay... cant beat that..

And that's about all I can think of at the moment. As for the others that you listed norton, I liked the arcade incarnations much better.

Baseball stars is hard to say - because the gameplay is pretty close, but the NES version has all the stats that it tracks. The stat tracking was pretty cool back in the day for a home game!
