Cool.
Segata_Sanshiro, your link doesn't work, but I found the info on Play Asia, release date is set to July 21st (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-r-15-mushihime-70-mc1.html).
Now all I need to be in shmups heaven would be a port of ProGear... :)

Ohh snap!
I'm on this preorder ASAP.
Been looking forward to this possibility.
Now if only we could get a Ketsui port to the PS2...

I apologize to the mods if my 'link-shortening-method' isn't allowed here...I can assure you it was just to play-asia's mushihime page and not tubgirl or anything.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'll be preordering it anyway.
And if I could choose any other Cave game to be ported, it would be ProGear!

Awesome news. One down, two more to go--Ketsui and ProGear.
I honestly think the former is very probable, while the latter is, sadly, unlikely.
Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy! :D
Here's hoping that Taito will pick up the rights to Ibara as well...:D

I wrote play-asia an e-mail about this and here's the reply -
Hi Mark,
thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.
We have received the information right from Sony's official distributor
yesterday late evening. We did not want to wait so posted it right up. We
are very sure that the information is correct and expect the game to be
announced by Taito shortly.
In case you have subscribed to our personal agent or checked our July
preorder listings, you may have recognized that we have started listing a
lot of new preorders yesterday night.
For your further information, Mushihimesama already has a Sony catalogue
number (which is SLPM-66056). The game will be a DVD release supporting
1-2 players with a Japanese recommended price tag of Y5,800.
In case of any further question please do not hesitate to contact us
again.
Best regards,
Play-Asia.com
Happy days!

It seems Cave are doing the conversion themselves. Taito's just a publisher these days. They let other companies do the dirty work.
And it'll be on a DVD-ROM and not a CD, which is good.

Ok,ok...I think I jumped the gun here. Up on the front page of click-stick (www.click-stick.com) there is a news bit about an upcomming Mushi puzzle game but I think its an arcade release, and it was announced in the mushi OST which I sadly missed the preorder for by a matter of hours. :crying:
So the PS2 one should(?) be the port...?

I'm pretty sure the puzzle game is coming out to the arcades first.
To whoever is getting the game, which edition will it be, regular or limited? And has ncsx listed any preorder yet, cuz Play-Asia shipping might cost to much for me if I get the LE.

Both, of course! ;) I also still haven't picked up any of the psikyo packs, the gunbird pack or Galuda...this summer will be expensive.
