Help, I turned on my cabinet without a PCB plugged in by accident and now the monitor display is all weird.
Tried adjusting the syncs....nothing....the picture is blurred beyond recognition.
anyone know if I've fried something or if it's temporary?
It was only powered up for a few seconds. :help:
thanks

Curious Have you tried plugging a pcb back in ..?

I power on my cabs all the time with no pcbs plugged in and have never had a problem..
Infact I did it earlier today to my small Bam cab while switching around pcbs..

yeah, I plugged in my 1slot (1-FZ) and a regular PCB.
They both have sound and play but my screen is garbled.
since you said you've had yours powered up w/out a PCB, and shouldn't do any harm, I tried it w/out one again, and noticed there were some static discharges around the harness.
Is that bad?
thanks

Please post a piccy of the image you are getting.

If you are getting discharges this means either very high voltage from the monitor or maybe a grounding issue with the CRT aquadag, is the black wire from the braided conductor (sprung mounted) around the back surface of the tube come off the crt base board ??

Do not run the cab like this, it can only lead to grief.
