Do atomiswave carts have built-in languages or are they like mvs and adjust based on the mobo?

Also, is there a way to tell which version of the cart you have. I got my first cart today [the mobo is not here yet] and it has a little red square with "EN"
Is that english?

You can adjust the language settings in the setup menus. This is built in to the main board.

Both my carts have 'EN' .
Allthough when I first booted them I got Japanese text until I changed the language settings.

beh3mot is right. Which region the cart is (which is written in that small square) is not important, as you can change the language settings in the mobo for each game. Notice that when you swap a game all settings are lost, and so far I think all games default to Japanese.
Finally, I hope you have a service button wired as otherwise it's a pain to navigate the configuration screen of some games.

Yeah, Just got my AW mainboard today, its a real pain losing the settings when you put another game in. and luckily i have the test buttons on my MAK supergun, but still, its so fiddly not being able to use the stick/buttons to change settings. If you were changing these is some cabs, you would have to rig up a mirror to watch the screen options! LOL

Actually, all the AW games I have tried allow you to use at least a control button (usually start) to navigate the configuration menu. However only one game (Demolish Fist) also had another control button to select the options, all the rest needed to have service wired.

I was just confused cause when I bought my one game is came with copies of the japanese artwork, so I figured it be a japanese cart.
I also didn't know if japanese games would have that "japan only" warning when the game starts.

I'm pretty sure the cab I'm putting this in has a test switch, if not I'll wire one.

I have another question.

I have a KOF Nw and it has atomiswave stickers/seals on the bottom, should these be all on atomiswave games? or are they just on some?

My copy of Neowave has those same stickers. I wondered about that too, so I asked Kaedesblade, and he assured me that that is normal on certain carts (apparently Neowave chief among them). Nothing to worry about.
