Just got one and can't get it to work. It cuts out after a second.
Any ideas? Are there supposed to be 3 or 4 of those blue capacitors on the bottom corners?

EDIT: 17/04 Looks like it is the capacitor actually. Back for a refund I guess :blow_top:

Board

JAMMA edge left

JAMMA edge right

One of the capacitors I mentioned

One missing from one corner?

It’s a tidy board and the only possibility for damage I can see would be the above. The board seems to work for a split second before cutting out so it could be a power issue. Not enough or too much from my Supergun I guess but I’ve never had a problem before and there’s nothing to adjust on it :(
Anyone got any other SSV system boards?

You will find the 5 volt out on the front of youre power supply, it should be clearly marked. Once you have done that you may want to check it on the board itself, plug it into the harness and measure the 5 volt pickup where it comes out of the harness.

If you need the Jamma or MVS pinouts you can find them over at www.hardmvs.com

There will be a small plastic screw/knob on the power supply ,that is what you will turn to increase or decrease the voltage, you wont have to turn it much so dont just crank on it. Use a voltohm meter and go in small increments till you get it correct.

If you dont know how to use a voltohm meter read this

The supply will most likely look like this one

Good luck and enjoy youre toys :D

To be honest I'm not keen on fiddling with the PSU on either my Supergun or cab for one game so I might just sell this to someone who is....

Seems a little hasty to sell it and say that you are 99% sure it is the voltage setting on your power supply. It could also be any number of other things, like cut traces, bad caps, faulty ground... the list goes on.

£50 sounds kind of high for a board that you don't know works 100%.

Just my 0.02 USD

If you have a voltmeter or a multimeter it is a simple thing to adjust or check your PSU voltage. Then you will know for sure if it is related to your PSU.

Which is why I say I'll gladly refund if it proves to be faulty.
I don't have a multimeter or the confidence or patience to start altering the PSU for a game I want to play on a short term basis. A Naomi setup maybe but I'd rather miss out on this, leave things as they are and offer it up for someone else.

EDIT: After all that it looks like it is faulty. Saved some postage there >_<
