If you've got a collection that's non-neo... you HAVE to have at least one street fighter game(my ssf2 for cps-2 is on it's way... ;) ).

Cool, damn I want Punisher. Did you buy your boards pre-patched from a seller?

I am a technician by trade so following the instructions on that page I had no problem what so ever reanimating my board myself. The boards were dead when I bought them that is how I got such a great deal on them.

When Lazarus was raised from the dead did he become immortal? :kekeke:

Anyway, the big letdown with the patch roms on Dead Battery Society is that you can only revive boards as the US version which is of course better than nothing but still quite lame because as my friend Shito would say US = fake shit, JPN = real deal. I did revive several boards with those patch roms but always for other people, when I buy my own CPS boards they must come with the battery still going so I can turn them into the Japanese version with an easy rom swap, which cannot be done once the battery is dead (unless someone writes special patches)...

Capcom Classic:
Trojan
Ghosts 'N Goblins

Jamma:
Pooyan (Okay, but I still like it)
*Any CAVE shooter* (needs vert monitor, aside from Progear)
Ghouls 'N Ghosts
Street Fighter Hyper Fighting
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Galaxian Part X

If you can afford a Naomi Mobo w/Capcom converter, that opens a lot of doors as well.

Edit: Also if you're into old (and I mean OLD) SNK games, then I'd take a look into the game called Sasuke vs Commander.

I think these are all really good suggestions, but for me the home arcade thing is simply nastalgia. Sometimes I'll crave the oddest title just because I have found memories of it from my youth. To me, that's an essential game, but I'd hardly recommend it to others. These days I don't get to play a lot, and I've sold off a lot of my boards, but there are a few I'll hold on to... just because they remind me of better days in the cade.

Oh yeah, If you like SVC Chaos and don't already own her for MVS or AES, an SVC Jamma PCB would be a great addition to your Impress cab.

any other savvy collector would know you mean business if you have a gem like that in your collection.

No shit? I bought that years ago, but only because I enjoyed it in the arcade so much and I couldn't find a home port to save my own life. It's been a couple years since I booted it... I hope it didn't suicide.

Dungeons & Dragons TOD
Dungeons & Dragons SOM
Aliens vs preators
Agree... I have all 3, plus a custom harness I built that (with the Sigma 6000) lets me play 3-4 players on each using Neo Geo sticks. :) They aren't suicide-proof, though, here's another case where I need to boot them soon.

Atomiswave
Knights of Valour The Seven Spirits
I honestly don't know which KOV is the authoritative one. I have KOV9D now which of all of them I've heard the best things about. Gladiator and KOV7S get better press in some circles though. Too expensive to own all 3. Sigh.

I do not know you tell me I am not into mythology, Lazarus is he like the phoenix or something? Any way back to topic, I do not see the difference in gameplay between the U.S and japanese version of the games in question.

I suggest you change the battery, I just changed the batteries in all my cps 2 boards. I usaually do it every 3 years to be safe.

Either that, or have Raz fix them permanently.

Snow Bros (or some similar Bubble-Bobble type game). Snow Bros is a great game with lots of replay incentive and the PCB is really small too! Best of both worlds! :)
