MVS 1 slot advice please

:help: Before I decide ths one slot I bought off ebay is broken, any ideas ..

When turned on I get the usual green garbage screen then it goes to the test grid.

Put a game in and the green garbage comes but then just a black screen.

If I try pressing cab service or setting dip 1 on the slot one board, it just does the same as above no menu.

Anything I could be doinng wrong ? :conf:

Ye, tried many games, and was thinking some more cleaning .. but , it should go into the settings menu with no game if I set the dip 1 on should it not ?

I agree with robert. Also ensure that no other dip switches are on. In addition, double check your power supply's voltage AT the board.

Usually with no game, I belive that the system remains in the grid screen.

Yeah, I thought my second 4 slot wasn't working, and then I realised i had dipswitch 8 (pause) on. >SLAP< Du-herrrr!

Dip switch 8 .. ah ...erm .. yes ... thanks .. seems to "work" now. thanks for your help guys .. :multi_co:

yeah, it was driving me nuts for about 15 minutes until i realized that I had that dipswitch on...

Glad you got it working, though!

(now maybe if I can kick my minions of the MiniMVS of Doom I'll play with my broken 4 slot and see what's up with it today)
