Metal slug 3 Problem

I just got MS3 today, and it is not even registering with my MV1-FZ Board with Unibios. Is this a known problem?

The cross hatch screen come up, just as if no cart is inserted, I tried my other carts, they work fine.

any ideas??

have you tried cleaning the cart connections thoroughly.
