What's the difference between a someone who makes a low offer and a 'lowballer'?

Just curious.

Kaedes Blade, I got your e-mail fine and clear, but for those that sent private messages, all I got was a bunch of jibberish. I'm definetely interested in your offers, so, if you sent a private message, please try contacting me again (manualy..I know, it's tough):

of course, it's probably easier to e-mail me today, given my cell's dead. :)

...well, it's out of power..that's what happens, sorta like old people when you don't feed them for three weeks. Except the phone still works after you recharge it.

Katsu:

Low offer = The lowest end of the median in which you'd expect to pay for an item. Here's a diagram:

Low offer < Absolute Average Price Paid < High offer

Low Ballin' = Asking to buy an item for an obnoxiously low amount in some pathetic attempt to either A.) take advantage of an uniformed seller B.) Begin a Bargain Charade C.) Or just waste the seller's time . IE: "I'll buy your Neo Geo for $25"

Here's a diagram:

Low ball <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Low offer<average...

Lowballer's come in all shapes and sizes, they can be your average Joe, they can be a dealer, but most frequently, they're someone's child running amok with their E-Bay account.

Oh, and for any of you lucky non-USA cell phone user's with those thrifty unlimited long distance chip's. If you decide to call me, a bit of background info:

James Earl Jones (aka Darth Vader, aka shakespearian thespian who'll lend his voice to anything that offers a paycheck) has lent his voice to Verizon Wireless, hence the rather wretched impersonation. (what can I say? I had a glandular problem, I sound like a mix between a 13 year old kid and my mother).
