Is anyone attending this year's Evo2K5?
I know it all depends on the location where it's going to be held (which
hasn't been announced yet) But is anyone determined to attend? Unless is
far on the east coast (Which I doubt) then I won't attend, otherwise
I'll be there 100% this year.

Well, now it has been announced...

Evo2k5 will be in Las Vegas. I will be attending regardless, this is going
to be awesome. There's a good chance KOF'02 gets into the mix, if people
vote for it.

There's small vid of what you can expect at shoryuken.com

Ever since I found out that it's going to take place in Las Vegas, and after seeing the stuff that happens there (Justin Wong getting owned by Daigo), I'm seriously planning on going this year, specially if 2K2 will be there.

I got August 12th-14th off already, now just need to book a flight and
hotel, but will wait until hotel is announced, so that I can stay at the hotel
where this thing is going to take place.

On a side note:

I don't think many people here are interested in tourney play...
Or at least the ones who are, do not post here.

I'm nowhere near tourney level, but it's awesome to see some of the stuff these people can pull off. It's also interesting to see how these games are played at a highly competitive level, instead of the usual beer and friends sessions.

And I guess that the people that really care about tourney level gameplay are all at srk.com of something like that and, from what I've heard, it's best to stay as far away from there as possible.

No, I'm referring to the many people on this forum who supposely are godly
at fighting games, and when the time comes like this one, they don't say
anything.

I'm interested in going, but there's no way that I could. Plane + Hotel costs are more than what I can afford right now :crying:

Depending on wether or not I can miss 7-10 days of study and work time then I may go. I was scheduled to go visit my Uncle in El Paso at the end of the year but I may bump it up to mid-year so that I can go to Evo and visit him on the same trip. SF3 and ST action is the motivating factor although hopefully there will be some KOF tourneys etc going on around there but not on the official games list for Evo.

Oh, yeah baby! I'll be there with my Faust (altough I'll probably get 0wn3d for free by some high-level Millia, Sol, or Potemkin player).

I wouldnt mind going at all. but i'm not really too good at any of the fighters they have announced. if 2K2 gets in, then maybe I'd play. altho I wouldnt mind Playing SF3:TS, SSF2T, CvS2 and if SFA3 is in the game then I may have decent chance at winning. I'm pretty good at SFA3. but i'll probably get owned by everyone there.

I'm tempted to try my hand at this tourney myself. I'm not that great a player, but I would like to see how far I can make it.

@NeoTheranthrope, your Faust kicks ass! :)

Come on guys. Strip clubs, gambling, and most important great Capcom tourneys,
as well as some 3D fighters stuff, not interesting?

KOF'02 has a big chance of making it in.

I'll be going as long as I have cash for the tourney and hotel room. So I won't need too much, I dont care for gambling or going to the clubs.

First things first.

I think us SNK gamers should be promoting the vote for KoF 2002, I mean it hasn't been confirmed yet.

I would like to attend, but will do only of kof makes the cut.

This site will probly bitch that Garou, last blade aren't even considered. But let's face it, I think kof 2002 has enough gameplay to be in this tournament.

Also, I think we should communicate better. I think it would be cool of the ones who are going could split the hotel costs with others, that'd make it cheaper and probably encourages people to go.

Same for the people from Vegas, I think you guys could also offer hosting some of the visitors for cost purpose, and to know more people on the Neo scene.

I might invite some of the good players from Mexico, I live in the border, and hopefully some will be able to make it....

Though again, first things first and vote for KoF (Pedro)....
