I'm selling my MVS as it's a project that I don't have the resources to complete. It's a 1 slot board machine. It is fully functional right now, given that the ocasional cart blow-out is done. The cabinet needs work...I've already started filling in holes, etc. The buttons and sticks were very recently replaced. For games, I've got Sam Sho 1, 2, 4, Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and Ninja Combat. I posted up a couple pictures below, and will take as many as desired if anyone is interested. As for price, I'm taking offers...because truthfully, I'm not sure what it's worth. PM me or e-mail (corsagt@gmail.com) me if you're interested. Thanks for looking!

you might try to clean it up some before posting pics... then re-post a sell thread for it... honestly, it looks kinda shaddy with all those cobwebs inside...

In all honesty, I'd gut the cab, sell the mobo + games and controls, then hock the cab with monitor and PSU etc. on ebay or something. I can tell from the wiring alone that the cab is from the late 70's or early 80's. If you wanted to keep it complete at least re-wire some of it, paint it, and clean it out. See all the electrical tape on the wiring? That's not good, I couldn't handle that, get some molex connectors, or some crimping connectors of some sort. That's the kind of shite that will ruin your day.

That being said, it doesn't look like it would take that much work to make that cab look good, as far as resources are you talking about painting, wiring, lack of tools? A Sunday afternoon and you could have that sucker tip-top. If you want some good resource links or have general questions you can PM me.

If you leave it like it is now, You'll make more by selling off the PCB and games because I and most other people couldn't justify paying a couple hundred bucks, then driving to pick up a shotty cab. I hope this helps you out.

It's in a Professor Pac-Man Cab :( Very rare game, less than 500 made, and many were returned because the earnings were so poor. how's the side art looking? I assume it's painted over, can you see any outline of side art stickers underneath? If you can, you could try removing the paint (using 3M Safest Stripper). If you had full side art, then the empty cab would be worth far more than the MVS is.

edit: Here's a listing that shows how it should look.

Thanks for the observation...great eye. I can't see any outlines...but I think I'll try stripping it down a bit to see what I can get. It's definately a professor pac-man cabinet, with the original monitor. The monitor has some screenburn, and its a Professor Pacman burn. I'll try stripping it down and see what happens. Any more advice to give to a newb?

Well, I plan on using the 3M Safe Stripper, if I can find a bottle of this stuff today. I've not used paint stripped before...or used it to to where I'm concerned with what's under it. There are no obvious lines on the cabinet showing where the original decals would be...I don't know how thin/thick these are. Is it feasible that after a few coats they would smooth out? :conf: :help:

used goof-off and elbow grease, and didn't find any pictures in any spots. I didn't see any layers...and I don't think the odds of the black paint coming right off with the art is very good. :-\
