may be getting Real Bout U.S. version - boxed but without manual

and Fatal Fury 3 U.S. version with Box and manual.

I don't know their condition but I've been told its good (local shop told me they had various games including these 2).

If the condition is good, what kind of money am I looking at? I wouldn't want to sell them, just trade them (I'm into fighting games) - maybe MotW is out of reach, but would anybody be interested in trading me if I were to get them (make it worth my while)? I'm into fighting games myself

I don't know how much FF3 US is worth, but I can tell you that Real Bout US w/out a manual should not be over a hundred.

I bought my near-mint copy w/no manual(lucky, huh?) a while back for $100, plus shipping expenses from the UK.

Heck, I think it could go for even lower, as incomplete games are not as valuable as full games. And also because all one needs to do is replace the insert with a US copy, and change the sticker to pass it off as the more valuable US version.

Its funny and sad-basically you are paying the extra hundreds just for a manual or insert! eek!

I don't understand why the hell I keep coming across Real Bout games without manuals...
- is it that easy to make this game pass off as American? Like you saay then, the manual is the defining feature.

Anyone know the price of fatal fury 3 then?

The going rate for an English Fatal Fury 3 is approx 70-120 from USED-MINT Condition from what Ive seen in recent past.

so its true then, that even an authentic fatal fury Real Bout U.S. is relatively cheap without manual because its easily replicated with a Jap version? Incredible... no way of distinguishing the two then?

Nope. Just like someone else asked, the only difference between Jpn. and US games are the sticker, manual, and insert. I think they said "its the most expensive documentation ever..."

Here's the <a href="http://www.neo-geo.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=002393" target="_blank">thread.</a>

Don't get me wrong, Real Bout is a great fun game, its just the later, newer ones are so much more valued, especially RB2.

but still.. It is the documentation that validates the carts, then I suppose someone could sell the manual on its own for 100 dollars..

I just find it bewildering, that's all...

so not worth getting if its just for trade material then...

Yes, its pretty messed up how these things are priced, I find it quite ridiculous at times.

However it would not warrant the manual price at $100, I believe its only worth that much when sold with the game, insert, and case. Its the total and complete package that makes up the high price. Just the sum of the parts, I guess.

People sell the actual inserts and manuals at $10-15 at most, its when it is with the game that the value is high.

But anyway, if you've never played the homecart of Real Bout or Mark of the Wolves, I recommend just getting the Real Bout and playing that, and save up the dough for the MotW later.

Its a very fun game, I love it, and IMHO, MotW is one of those really overrated, overhyped games...

I may be beating a dead horse here but, does anybody know where I may find the manual to this game (other than potentially the Neo Store)?
I love the game (used to have it for the saturn), but if I can find the manual I'll be looking for a trade. Chances are slim, right?.... crying
