What does this button do? (MV-6F)

I have a 6-slot neogeo. Between the headphone connectors and the 8-switch dipboard there's a flat black pushbutton. Does anyone have an idéa what this button is supposed to do? I cannot find it in any documents.

I can snap some pictures if that would make things clearer.

Oh man...I remember exactly the button you are talking about it was talked about here before..I', pretty sure it was ttooddddyy who knew what it does..

I'm not sure if every 6 slot is equipped with this push button..

It's either to bring up the Hardware Test,Soft Dip Setting etc....or to clear the Back Up Memory..

I'd love to try and do a search for this info here ,but I wouldn't know how to go about it.,what to type in..

Oh, sweet! Then I'll put away my soldering iron. Today I've been soldering on and off my battery more than ten times because of troubles with the unibios.

Mmmm, what troubles are you having? Also do you know that you can also clear the backup ram from testmode?
