Hey all. I was wondering if people could share their experiences with various joysticks for both MVS and CPS2 games. I've heard the massystems joysticks are really well made, but I've seen a ton of custom-made and obscure joystick pictures on these boards and would love to hear what you guys think work best for fighting/shooting/beat 'em up games, what's particularly durable or easy to repair, etc.
For myself, ideally, I'm really hoping to find a joystick that works for both MVS and CPS2 fighting games, and is for single-player. I'd buy two of them, as one of those really huge single two-player units takes up more space than I have available.
And of course, please go ahead and post pics :D

The mas sticks are the best ones Ive ever used and owned. Just haps parts in a sturdy (and heavy) box.
Doesnt slide around like plastic ones.

I take it you are using a supergun?

Yeah, I decided to go with a Supergun since I'd like to collect more than MVS boards.
From these massystems joysticks, then (http://www.massystems.com/ProStick.html), would the 8-Button Super NOVA or the 10-button Standard Version feel more comfortable for MVS and CPS2 fighting games?

Yah the MAS sticks are really good, but as i have said before, DC arcade sticks are really easy to convert for neo/ supergun. I have converted quite a few, they are nice sturdy stick, and tidy too, also the conversion is 100% reversible. I even replaced the standard buttons with arcade spec microswitch buttons.
My vote goes for the official DC stick. Its easily converted to the Neogeo standard and you can use the circuitboard for a Neogeo->DC converter. I did this myself just so I could use the Neogeo pad with the DC :).

Have a look at the stick on my website in my sig.
It uses a Sanwa stick with Happ competition buttons.
If you want to know more about it, drop me an e-mail.
It's easily the best stick I've ever used but building them takes quite a while. I've made about 6 or so of these (for PS2 as well).
Cheers
John.
