Tech support plz, w/PSP...online.

My home networking is setup through Ethernet. But since online with the PSP is Wi-Fi and not wired I was wondering if I could just setup a wireless router off of the wired router? Or would the wireless router need to be connected to the modem at all times? And please forgive the heavy-n00bness of this question.

So, maybe...?

modem--wired router--PC
___________________Xbox
___________________2nd PC
___________________wireless router--PSP

I'd like to avoid disconnecting the wired home networking because the wireless signal is very poor, upstairs to downstairs, in my house.

Just get a 4 port wireless router.. That way you can use both wired and wireless.

modem-wireless router-4 things connected by ethernet, and whatever you want wireless.

Like I said, I'd love to do everything wireless, but the signal from upstairs to downstairs is shit. But you answered my question well enough. So, all I need to do is pick up a wireless router, connect a line off of my wired router and I'm in like flin, right?

with a wireless router you don't have to have everything wireless.

i have a wireless router, and i have the xbox and one pc hooked by ethernet cord, and another pc and laptop hooked up wireless (and soon the psp).

you don't even need your old wired router. you can get a wireless router with 4 ethernet ports in the back for wired connections.
